![]() Biography Since graduating from Arizona State University in 1992 and setting up her own design studio, Iranian born Sepi has traveled to many countries. Growing up in Iran she has seen the versatility of design: such an intense mixture of western & eastern culture. And then after the revolution in her country, her aesthetic development was further influenced during the time she lived in Rome and London. She then traveled to France, and then moved to America. The Southwest became her home and she loved the Spanish Colonial influence in the valley. The resulting mix was spirituality, the exotic and her belief in the unlimited possibility. You see that passion and adventuresome spirit in her work. She is constantly seeking new modalities to go beyond the physical in her work and has always incorporated sustainable materials and processes in her projects. She loves to mix old with new in a way that you'll believe is always belonging there. Why not? At an early age she showed a vast interest in art, design, style, architecture, materials & colors. Sepi always sketches or takes photos of patterns, structures, buildings and people which interest her as she collects them. She is a painter at heart and brings a fine art approach to design by combining contemporary with an eclectic, tailored combination of modern and antique furniture.
